Hi Angela and all,

Al made a mistake, he caught L for it, it's over so let's not make a
political free for all out of it. THAT goes for readers with ideas, DON'T DO
IT, OK?

I will however agree with the terrorist connection and leave it at that,
another way to put it is look to Washington, with friends like that who needs
enemies?

To the heart of the matter, NEBBS has been dead in the water since two key
BBSs bit the dust, satmail went down and the sysop of our HF forwarding went
SK and a Telnet BBS took his place. The WPs at that BBS haven't been updated
since so NEBBS or what's left of it is isolated except for @WW bulls that are
flooded. There's a problem in Queens, NY which BTW is the Einstein ARC, the
old boy must be spinning in his grave.

The bottom line is if there was some sort of glitch that disabled NEBBS it
was purely coincidental and not surprising in the least since the network is
badly deteriorated and on its death bed. I mentioned various OEM nodes/BBSes
on the network in north Jersey, they're invisible to avoid outside traffic or
they were when the private subnet went into operation. All things considered
it's probably gone now since the main net is unable to handle normal packet
traffic and cannot be relied upon in an emergency.
