Hi Don, can you outline the changes from 3.50b to 3.50d as the ZIP file with
the ROM images has no change log as did previous upgrades.

How to you identify whether the TB has been upgraded to the Turbo version?

Thanks

Renauld,

I still have eproms for 3.50D and upgrade kits to go to the Turbo version.
Contact me if any of this interests you. Please let me know if you solve
your problem so we can help others who still use the Trakbox. I currently
have 4 working Trakbox Turbo's and use them all the time when working the
satellites.

Did anyone hear AO-51 s mode d/l on the eastcoast 1420z pass ? My d/l
converter seems to be powering up, but nothing heard here in FM29. Was it
off, or do I need to fix my downconverter? Thanks for any useful
information.

Bruce and the rest of BB

You are right: we know about this and the two are related. See an
earlier report from Wouter Jan Ubbels PE4WJ on the BB
I quote:
"
2. We are aware of the transmitter distortion and drop outs occurring. These
two are related, and are not related to the transmitter itself, but are the
result of a power / attitude issue combined with the way our Electrical
Power System works. Thanks to all your reports we now have a clear view of
what is happening, and are in the process of taking corrective actions while
the s/c is over our groundstation. We are taking these actions step by step
so the phenomenon will continue to occur over the coming days. Your reports
on this phenomenon are welcome.

So we are working on it and taking it VERY VERY slow. we do not want
to loose the bird!
Everyone keep sending in DATA and pass reports, it is very valuable to
us! Thanks!

Is the ARISS digipeater operating?

I am testing gear for an upcoming ARISS school contact and I thought I'd try
testing with the digi. I am listening on 145.80 and transmitting packets on
145.99 using UNPROTO CQ VIA ARISS.

I hear nothing on 145.80.

I worked 2 stations on the pass. The bird had quite a bit of spin to it
so it was going in and out. What are you using for a downconverter and
antenna ?

Ron:

The correct frequency for the ARISS Digi is 145.825. Nonetheless, Ken N5VHO
reports on www.issfanclub.com that the ISS digipeater is not operational at
the present time.

AX.25 1200 Bd AFSK Packet Radio (Worldwide)

Downlink 145.825
Uplink 145.825
Hope this helps.

Check this out. Cool idea someone had.
Amsat might be able to raise money with something similar.

NASA is inviting everyone to send their name to the moon on board the
Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter.

Right now you can log onto a special NASA Web site that is collecting
names, which will be put on a microchip that will be integrated into
the LRO.

The LRO mission is the first step in NASA's plans to return humans to
the moon by 2020.

The deadline to add your name to the microchip is June 27.

I wish I was in a position to buy these but I thought someone on here might
be.

http://www.govdeals.com/eas/itmdisplay.cfm?itemid=330&acctid=345

I have no connection to this site or the item, I just thought it might make
someone a good uplink/downlink
system.

Heck, I don't even know what frequency their for:-)
