Patrick,
A very well thought out and presented case for FM sats but it will fall on
deaf ears as far as the critics are concerned. It's easier to grouse about
not having HEO's than to just try and make the best of the situation we
have. I wasn't around for the previous generation of HEO's either and I
dearly wish I had been or that we had some now but we don't so I just try
and enjoy what's up there.
Judging by some recent comments on this list, it doesn't look like we will
be seeing P3E anytime soon so the HEO outlook doesn't look too bright right
now. I had hoped it would be launched at the end of this year as had been
previously speculated but it now appears that was an overly optomistic
assesment.

Michael, W4HIJ

Bill -
With all due respect, since you require "pick up only" it would be a lot
easier for buyers to gauge interest if you included your address (or at least
region) or even your callsign (so that they could look you up on QRZ).

Hello,
Space Track is now predicting ANDE FCAL re-entry this
Sunday, May 25 at 1120 UTC +/- 14 hours.
Predicted location of re-entry is 42.9 N 59E.
ANDE FCAL (NO-62) altitude is less than 108 miles. Beacon
is 437.385MHz and doppler is amazing on an overhead pass.

I am using SatPC32 to control a pair of IC706MkIIG's. The CAT control
with the SubTone "T" feature does not enable the subtone when trying to
use AO-51. I enable the sub tone on the IC706 Uplink xcvr, toggle the T
button to T1, but as soon as CAT control changes the frequency to allow
for doppler shift, the tone function is disabled in the xcvr by the
program even though T1 in the program is still enabled. What is the
correct instruction code to enter in the SubTone.SQF file in SatPC32 for
the IC706. The current command line in the file reads: AO-51,67.0,$3F,1.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am curious how the location of re-entry can be predicted with such
accuracy when the time of re-entry is only known within +/- 14 hours?

Greetings All!
Does anyone have any word regarding the final integration and actual launch
dates for Phase 3-E? Was anything about Phase 3-D discussed at Dayton?
Everything I'm reading on the AMSAT-DL Web site is devoid of any firm launch
dates and the AMSAT-NA Web site simply says "January 2009".
How firm is that date? Has a launch contract been let?

Members of EU-Amsat, Amsat-UK, Amsat-NA and anyone else interested in Amateur
radio satellites are cordially invited to submit papers on space related
subjects - particularly cubesats in education - to The third International
Symposium UNIVERSAT-2008, which is organised by the Skobeltsyn Institute Of
Nuclear Physics, Lomonosov Moscow State University - which will take place on
September the 1st to the 6th, 2008 at the Conference Halls of The Moscow State
