Just did. PCSAT is still there. It responded to digipeating
and command logon attempts, but as usual, has not enough uuumph
to complete even an ACK packet. Best sun angle is when latitude
is around 45 degrees, but even then, it cannot complete even the
shortest downlink packet.
We just have to wait for better sun in the Fall and winter...

Hi John,
for P3-E it says " Presentation held back at request of AMSAT-DL" ...
This seems to be an mis-understanding.... There is nothing against...
Achim's P5-A presentation is already available at
http://www.amsat-
dl.org/pic/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=7531
Mine is a little bit too large (70MB), so I will put it there as an .PDF
Link will follow soon...

Hi all.
Another new satellite in the log book!
Managed a QSO with IW4DVZ earlier this evening, my first via DO-64.
Certainly sounded fine coming out of eclipse. Good fun, but my ability to
track the
doppler manually has certainly become 'rusty' since the days of Oscar 40.
Sorry for all the dits chaps.

Hello all,
Tonight on the 2031 UTC pass over The Netherlands, DO-64 was passing over
at an 86 degrees maximum elevation. So I tried with a portable setup (2x
FT817 and an Arrow antenna) as PA1IVO/P.
For a short period of time, I was able to hear myself quite clearly on the
downlink, and another station called QRZ to me (probably because of my
manual doppler correction on the uplink only, he was not able to copy my
call sign). So, with the right conditions it must be possible to work
DO-64 QRP/portable (which did not succeed a few days ago on the AMSAT-UK
Colloquium unfortunately).
So I will try again tomorrow on the 950 UTC pass, see if we can have some
fun again with DO-64. And of course, thanks to the Delfi-C3-team for this
new amateur radio satellite.
73, Ivo.

Hey everyone,
I'm new to the list and relatively new to working the satellites. I've had
some decent passes of SO-50 here (EM84) the past few nights between 03:00 and
04:00 UTC, but I've only heard one other station.
There's a pass later, around 03:50-ish UTC, that gets to 50 degrees maximum
elevation here. It should be good for most of the eastern U.S. I'm going to
try it again.

Hi David, (G0MIN club call)
Thank you very much for nice qso via DO-64,
fine signal coming from your set up,
about doppler corrections don't worry
no problem to copy you, like you listened,
I also had been in a trouble to adjust the
doppler.
Thank's to Delfi-C3 Team for this new bird !

Hi all. - Thought this was interesting.......
McGregor TX ? Space Exploration Technologies Corp. (_SpaceX_
(http://www.spacex.com/index.php) ) conducted the first nine engine firing of
its _Falcon 9_
(http://www.spacex.com/falcon9.php) launch vehicle at its Texas Test Facility
outside McGregor on July 31st. A second firing on August 1st completed a
major NASA Commercial Orbital Transportation Services (COTS) milestone almost
two months early.
At full power, the nine engines consumed 3,200 lbs of fuel and liquid oxygen
per second, and generated 832,000 pounds of force (lbf) ? four times the
maximum thrust of a 747 aircraft.
SpaceX is developing a family of launch vehicles intended to increase the
reliability and reduce the cost of both manned and unmanned space
transportation, ultimately by a factor of ten. With its Falcon line of launch
vehicles,
powered by internally-developed _Merlin_
(http://www.spacex.com/falcon1.php#merlin_engine) engines, SpaceX offers
light, medium and heavy lift capabilities
to deliver spacecraft into any altitude and inclination, from low-Earth
orbit to geosynchronous

Good Morning All:
Is it possible to connect both DATA and CAT interfaces to one laptop? The
transceiver is a Yaesu FT-897D.
I can receive satellite telemetry following a path from the DATA port to TNC
to laptop serial interface.
Where do I make the CAT connection to control doppler shift?
Seems like a dumb question but, can DATA and CAT operations really be done
simultaneously???
Using:
SATPC32
Windows XP

I didn't hear my downlink, or anyone else on this pass.
I'm wondering if it's something mis-configured on my end (haven't
been on a linear bird
in a while), or was DO-64 in 'science mode" ?
Did anyone else hear anything on this pass?
