Here's an outstanding clip made from the October 16 pass at 13:45 UTC showing
crystal clear SSTV reception and audio from Richard as he headed out over the
Atlantic.
(I actually snagged a partial QSO with Richard just as he went LOS from my QTH
during this pass.)

hi folks, those of you who are using mmsstv to decode sstv from the iss,
what sstv settings are you using, such as demodulating method. pll, hilbert
T.F. or zero crossings? and if so what are the other settings? any settings
you are using to bring your pic in better, any help would be nice to have.
thanks in advance.
p.s. my pics are not coming in to well as of yet, its why I am wondering
about the settings to help.

I'm using Hilbert TF and have the rxBPF set to broad. AFC is on.
Thats it. Make sure you are not getting an overload condition from the
audio in That really messes up the pictures.

Got two great SSTV photos on the last pass over the U.S. in grid square

I need help, how do I go about getting the photos from MMSSTV software
to the web page?
Thanks in advance, Tom N9RPQ 73

right click on the image and save it to a file. Make sure that "use
jpeg" is selected under file menu.
Also in setup MMSSTV, misc, set jpg quality to 100%.
They will show up in your selected folder with a date/time id number.
Go to the ISS blog site and go to the report page, just fill in the
blanks and browse to find the image you stored.
Easier to do than describe I'm afraid.

On the 1235 pass (Mostly over the atlantic) no transmission has been received
yesterday only blue empty pics where transmitted in the last
pass of the day. I am guessing the school contact takes priority?

I have tried to work ISS on voice but no luck.
I find this unusual as I have auto antenna and doppler control and more power
then I need.
I have never made a call to ISS or shuttle and not got an answer.
I am guessing that either there is so many hams trying to work Richard, or he
is listening on another frequency????

Any MPG of SpaceCam1 running?
Does anyone have a MPG video of ISS running SSTV via SpaceCam1?
The easy way to tell the difference, is that when SpaceCam1 is running, it
will send a CW-ID first, followed by the SSTV Image.
You can also tell by the image format, SpaceCam1 will place the call sign and
date and time at the bottom W5KWQ 20081017T0939Z
If so, please send the MPG to sstv(AT)issspacecam.org or ka1rrw(AT)yahoo.com
Thanks Miles

If you are planning to register for the AMSAT Meeting in Atlanta on-line,
you MUST do it this weekend. I have to give the numbers to the Hotel on
Monday.

Perry,
They are working the published frequencies. Working them is a combination
of having a good station, skill, and in my case, some dumb luck. I was
setting things up for another day of automated capture of the SSTV when I
heard them give a CQ. 10 seconds of grabbing the mouse, headset, and
bringing the SATPC32ISS program to the top, a quick call, and I had my QSO.
I called several times previously with no luck. As others have noted, they
are mixing voice and SSTV, and I have heard others "tail end" a SSTV picture
very successfully.

I'm in CM87, and heard a school contact 8ish (PDT) and then SSTV an
hour or so later.
