Hi all,
Would this have been the date for the old time change back standard time in
the U.S.? Seems like my sat passes are off by a bunch using Instant Track.

No voice, but another nice image, the best received yet here in the Caribbean;
looks like Mike Fincke's upsidedown. Let's see at mid-afternoon.

Doug,
The old change was on the last Sunday of October, so that probably isn't it.
Could you define "a bunch?" UTC vs. local time?

Check out the code in WispDDE:
Sub IF100RotorSetAzEl(Az, El, Port As Integer)
As Tony says, you need some nasties to talk straight to the parallel port.
You may already have that in HRD for other rotators like the FODTrack.

My apologies to Mssrs. de Jong, Koehler, Gunn and all for my ignorance - i.e.,
not knowing what else to call these contacts.
WB9L is intentionally working AO-51, which is thousands of km away from and
pretty much opposite AO-16, which N3TL is intentionally working. Indeed, both
satellites have the same FM/VHF uplink. WB9L copies N3TL on AO-51 at 435.300
+/-, in FM. N3TL copies WB9L on AO-16 at 437.026 +/-, in SSB. It seemed clear
to me that a complete contact between these two stations occurred across both
satellites.
I'm open to any suggestions regarding a term more accurate than cross-
satellite for such contacts.

The answer is actually in what transmitters or power amplifiers are you
planning to use that fit within your budget?
Watts cost money...
With a limited gain omnidirectional you might best aim toward the middle
range but if you are looking at used SSB/CW equipment at 430, many of the
less expensive older radios only ran 10 watts out. Of course a "Linear
Amplifier" for SSB/CW could move you up but is not necessarily inexpensive.
You might want to just accept the fact that you may need to "climb the
tower" again once you settle on your transmitters.

Anyone else receive several strange series if images on this last
pass?? (1510Z)
Got several in a row--no ID on them like the NA1SS or the small software
stamp anywhere. My first thought on seeing these is that someone was
spoofing the pass--but it came up and disappeared precisely on shedule
on my tracker.

Hi Folks, got several pics via the ISS just now and they are not ones out
the port window but of a collection of photos he must have with him on the
camera. They came right one after the other and that was nice. Hope to see
more next pass. I will be there.

What are the chances of one station uplinking one picture uninterrupted?
Or perhaps he with the biggest amp will win! :-)

I received a noisy image with a Jolly Roger on 10/19/2008 1503z over FM18.
That was the last in a series of images that included the two Garriotts
""two generations in space"), one dedicated to Stephen Hawking and one that
I couldn't make out the face but shows someone writing on a notebook/tablet.
