Alvaro,
you can try this:

at page 50 is described how reset CPU.

Good luck

Al,
I have had problems with my IC 820H not locking not responding to controls
and being intermittent. Problem was traced to several ribbon type cables
that interconnect the various boards and switches to the MPU unit. Careful
removal and cleaning restored all functions and now has been free of trouble
for 2 + years. It has an excellent receiver and very poor control functions.
I have found switching between the main and sub bands using the RIT on
receive and tuning the transmitter on transmit makes it easy to handle the
Doppler on the SSB satellites.

Good luck on getting it back up and working.

Art, KC6UQH

Good point; actually there are already a couple out there. Search youtube for
"ham radio satellite" and you'll get over a hundred hits.

OK, you crazy satellite operators -- it's your newbie here. I shall be
active on the 0728Z SO-50 pass tonight. I want to see how far East I
can make it. Insomniac operators, have a listen for me, if you would
please, and thanks in advance!

Interesting idea. But, there are really two fundamental ways to go here.

We can go low-tech; your idea. Simple analog transponder. Keep the
housekeeping logic to a minimum to conserve power, maximize reliability, and
minimize cost. Clone AO-07, in effect, but with modern components.

The other direction would be to go the other way - high tech. I for one would
love to see a testbed for Eagle's ACP running in a LEO satellite, focusing,
say, on the low bandwidth instant messaging application. I know we can do
this with APRS today, but only inefficiently. We need a testbed to prove out
both the modulation schemes necessary for improving the link budget, and the
protocols for supporting the many multiple communications connections that
this application demands.

I have no idea if this is even possible in a Cubesat format satellite. My
only visibility into Eagle was at last year's AMSAT conference in Foster City
(San Francisco area), but what I saw in the presentation really underscored
the tag line on the AMSAT banner hanging over the conference hall entrance.
"We are rocket scientists!" (or words to that effect..)

Or how about designing a digital channel that features 16 or 32 "slots"
accessible to both amateur radio communication and telemetry/control for the
cubesat team? Our design could include something like a 50/50 split in
bandwidth between amateur radio and the cubesat telemetry. A well-defined
user interface document would give the cubesat team access to their bandwidth.
By solving the radio problem for the cubesat team we become a part of the
mission and we would have a reason for being aboard just about every cubesat
in the future.

In an open effort to help any AMSAT member with ICOM satellite rig problems,
may I offer this recommendation.

Through personal experiences with ICOM radio repairs, I have found Scott
Malcom, KA7MEF, who heads up Malcom Technical Services (MTS), to be
extremely talented in ICOM repair, and one of the most fair persons to deal
with ever. Malcom Technical Services is located at 5130 Jackson Hwy,
Toledo, WA 98591-8680. His email is < mts@xxxx.xxx > if you wish to contact
him. Scott also has excellent reviews on eHam.net, and I highly recommend
him for any ICOM repair work.

Hi Sat Fans!!
I'm very interesting sked with Central America, Caribean and South Florida
stations for possible DX contact on AO-07 Mode B on CW at night passes.
I'm worked stations WP4CNU form Puerto Rico and AA4FL & W4DFU from FL,USA in
good conditions.
I work with minimal elements: FT-726R with 10 W input and my antennas are:
a Quad Swiss for VHF and Vertical Diamond X-200 for UHF.
Please contact with my e-mail address: lu2dpw@xxxxx.xxx.xx
Many thanks and see you on CW in this beatifull bird!!

I am a CW op. This morning I had a real treat to work Tony, K8ALM; Stan W3QBK
and Mike, W8AB on FO 29 and VO 52 within a few minutes of each other. WOW . .
. we missed the regulars : K9CIS and K9QHO. I think all of us are probably
retirees. Need to get N3TE and AJ9K on there too. KE7ULS pounds some pretty
good brass and when the footprint is out West that nationally known QST
photographer, Bob , W7LRD pounds through. Just great to work these guys. Talk
about QSK break in . . . .maybe we can have a large CW QSO on FO 29 . . . AO
7 suffers from old age. Just great to work these guys as often as I can . .
.Maybe we can have a CW Day on the birds . . .

You had someone direct you to Heavens-above for the passes for your location.
They did not answer the question about "seeing" the ISS with naked vision.
Usually the ISS has a magnitude of +1, in my viewing experience. It can vary
but +1 is about normal for ISS. Viewing, as you may know has many variables.
The biggest obstacle is the light pollution from the big city. If you can get
to a "dark sky" location you can enjoy the sight. From a light polluted
location : good luck. From my experience, it is normally on the horizon in the
early evening which is not good. You have a chance from the suburbs when the
elevation is over 10 degrees ( 90 degrees being overhead). All of the above is
for naked eye viewing. You might want to have a pair of small binoculars handy
to enhance your view. It moves quickly . . . . Heavens-Above is a good URL for
getting info on ISS. It is fairly large (350' X 225' X 150') and up 200
miles. The sun will illuminate it very well. Good luck.
