No mods that I'm aware of. Mine receives my transmissons from my IC-12GAT
okay. Not much else for it to listen to though.

What modifications have to be done to the D700
to receive efficiently on 23cms ?

I know that the radio will accept 23cms frequency
input to the memories, I did put some in, but I have
never heard anything on 23cms, ever.

Out of curiosity, today at 15:22 UTC I heard on FO-29 ??4MB on orbit 60,879
around 435,841MHz.
??4MB signal was really booming in Brazil. I wonder who would be this ??4MB
It was great to hear an American stations on satellite after so long...
I will keep on listening.

Don't know Luciano, but I hope to hear you on FO-29, as I'm quite
active on there. Lots of hams don't know that this bird came back
from the 'dead' a few months ago, and it's working great. I'm
guessing you meant a 4 KHz signal or noise, since the passband is 100
KHz.

Hi folks,

I listened in on the 22:50z pass of the ISS. Received 1200 bps packet on
145.825, so they've apparently switched it back for the week.

Tried doing the email thing again, but no apparent success this time.

Looking ahead using HRD Sat Tracker, it looks like FO29 and VO52 will be
offering another opportunity for the Northeast US around 1518 UTC on
Saturday.

Anyone successful in doing this, tips appreciated. Should I just try for
FO29 at 435.81, which gives me 145.91 on the downlink?

I was able to get a few packets through with my "new" setup at my girlfriend's

Hi Jim,

Congrats on getting through on the ISS. I'm not surprised I didn't, as I was
running just my Kenwood TH-D7 with an extended whip antenna (a Diamond RH-77B)
and only about 3 watts. I am surprised that I got through yesterday, as it
was with the same setup! I guess nobody else knew what frequency they were
on, because the downlink seemed very quiet then, in contrast to today's pass.
Today was really active. I managed to copy a few downlinked packets on the
Kenwood: N0JY-1, RS0ISS-4, WA7IXK-3, W6JSB-6, KO6TZ, and AI7W-1, but not
yours.

HI Bob, et al,

Figured out the problem... I didn't have both sides enabled (dual not set).
Duh. Works fine now.

side, and receive on the other, with APRS. With the ISS seemingly in that
sort of mode, this would seem to be the configuration to use. APRS menu 2-M
gives me that choice, but when I have either of the spilt modes selected (Tx-

APRS.

Hi All,

I think we had folks transmitting on one uplink and being heard on the other
downlink.
For those that didn't know, they activated both pairs last night and switched
back to 145.920
uplink for the 435.300 downliink. See http://www.amsat.org/amsat-
new/echo/ControlTeam.php

I'm guessing this is why some folks called and didn't get a responds. ??

Is anyone using the IC-7000 and a KPC9612+ for 9.6k? I could sure use
help in transmit settings. It receives good and keys the radio via port
2 on the tnc. The XMITLVL setting are currently at: XMITLVL 100/45. I
have jumper J-20 in the default 'ON' position. CD is set at CD
SOFTWARE/INTERNAL. I had to change from the default INTERNAL to SOFTWARE
on port 1, but port 2 does not need to be to receive? I am wired using
the six pin DIN on the back of the radio.

It works fine on port 1 (1.2k) with the 100 setting. I have tried port 2
settings from 1-65 with no luck. 9.6 packets are not being decoded. I
don't have access to a service monitor. If someone could point out where
I am messing up it would be appreciated.
