Hello everyone. I am a beginner in Satelite communications. Let me just say that
i only have a Kenwood TM-D700 and a vertical Diamont antenna X-510.
I also have a v/u beam for "earth" communication that i plan to use in the future
for the satelite communications if i am lucky enough.
I have many questions and i want to use packet radio to find out more about AO51,ISS,
and other satelites. I am sure p.r will help me get my questions answered.
So here we go: What are the possibilites of me making a "qso" with some of the
satelites that are using FM tx/rx with my rig ?
Yesterday i recieved the ISS Aprs signal and a couple of Europian stations. That was
a first small step (not in mankind, hi) but for me.
Anyway, i want to be more active on satelite communication and i saw on the internet
many hamradio operators with big AND small antennas making qso's.
So, how about giving a newcomer on sat communication a hint. I am a ham for 10 years
now and this is not my first try on sats. I used to recieve weather sats with
a program called WXSat.
Thanks for reading and hope to hear from you (sat experts) very soon.
