Hi Bob, W0DXZ
The following is the instruction manual of the 416 TB in pdf format.
http://www.cushcraft.com/support/pdf/951298.pdf
To get RHCP when NOT energized just follow the instruction in Fig-5A
The PS-4 switching box is an optional and you can wire the antenna for only
RHCP or LHCP without it but you need two original balun DB part
Nr 350747 and the original phasing harness PS
If you missed the above parts the manual shows you the lenght to build it
using coax cable with velocity factor 0.66 like the RG-213 or RG-58

Looks interesting. The Warbler program doesn't seem to have a way to select
the sound card. Changing the system default seems to work, but is
undesirable. I wonder if this can be made to work with MixW? Will see.

Hi all,
I've posted an English PDF version of my presentation on the Delfi-C3
forums, which can be found on
http://www.delfic3.nl/forum/showthread.php?p=2375#post2375
The original presentation had some dutch slides in it and was held for
the local amateur community "VERON Friese Wouden".
Enjoy!
(credits to PE4WJ for making most slides of this presentation!)

Hi Alan,
Warbler does indeed not have soundcard selection capability, but RASCAL has.
(When I have time, it will be incorporated in Warbler as well but that will
probably be after Delfi-C3 is safely in orbit hi:)
Bruce, thanks for the kudos:) It's been really rewarding to be able to build
a satellite, it has been a true team effort with over 60 people involved!
It's great to finally have our baby so close to launch. A life changing
experience.
As I type this mail, our mechanical guys are applying the final pieces of
glue and thermal tape next to me, all is still ok.

Hi Wouter,
"Big Hello to you and the team" - Glad to see that things are once again in
motion and Delfi-C3 has come out of hibernation after a very frustrating
wait for all of you and prospective users.
My thoughts are very much with you all especially after having the
opportunity of meeting many of you at the
Amsat- UK Colloquium.
For those that have not met the team, let me just what wonderful guys they
are and it is credit to see so many of the younger generation working
together with such dedication.
I hope that all of your efforts will now be appreciated and the rewards for
your project can go ahead as planned.
The week following the launch I am giving a presentation here in Wales on
"Working Satellites".
I intend to also include your presentation on Delfi-C3 with my work and
hopefully also add the satellite to
one of possible live demonstrations.
Meanwhile "Good Luck and Best wishes to all of the Team " - Take Care.
Remember that " AMATEUR RADIO SATELLITES - " ARE REALLY OUT OF THIS WORLD"

Many thanks to those that replied to this message. I started the first
tests today of the equipment that I hope to be taking on the trip. The
way it looks right now, I will be taking two radios so that I can run
full duplex. My uplink so far has been an ICOM ICT2H and the downlink
is an ICOM ICU82. Today I tested using a 1/4 wave mag mount for uplink
and 5/8 wave mag mount for UHF. Since the SSB birds seem to require
more power than I can provide using a handheld, I will probably limit
myself to the FM birds. Dont know if I will try to take one of my
FT817s so I can also try AO-16. Will have to see how the testing goes.
On the passes later today or tomorrow, I will shift to using a 3 element
Arrow UHF handheld antenna. I will probably take both antennas with me
so that if weather is bad, I will use the UHF mag mount for downlink and
if the weather is good, I will use the Arrow UHF beam. On both downlink
antenna setups, I will use my ARR UHF preamp and a mode J filter to keep
from having receive problems.
To keep my position reports accurate, I plan on taking a Garmin eTrex
GPS so that I will know the exact grid that I am in. Dont know if I
will try to take my arrow dual band antenna or not. I do have the model
with the split boom model. Since I will have to put it in the checked
luggage, I am thinking about using some PVC pipe and coming up with a
small case that will fit in the luggage to keep the antenna from getting
crushed during the flight out.
Thanks,
Ron

The newly removed components include resistors, capacitors, and DB
type connectors. Teflon insulated wire is expected to be removed in
2009.
