Hi Ian and all,
I may as well change the TO field in keeping with the subject? If it's
M*A*S*H you want come on over, TV Land on cable has more mashed potatoes
than KP can handle. Yes it did last longer than the Korean War, 11
seasons making it just a tad more than 3 times longer, time flies when
you're having fun. I can't think of anything that the censors would
object to either but the movie would be sliced to ribbons which is why
Spear Chucker Jones never appeared in the TV series, there may be others
that slipped my mind. OH, the theme song had the lyrics deleted too,
Suicide Is Painless wouldn't go over well either.
One of my favorites is Black Sheep Squadron, not only was it an excellent
show but the props were completely authentic, that radio equipment is
very popular with hams... AM RULES! For what it's worth I operated some
of those rigs and all I can say is WOW, some of the best ever made.
A while back VE3WBZ Pete had a thing going with WW2 TV shows, COMBAT! and
Rat Patrol come to mind, there were others but the thread faded not being
such a popular subject. Maybe there are just too many good TV shows to
remember and after suffering information overload we have to cool our
brains before the world turns blue and the medics come to reboot us.
