Thank you Rodge. No I did not receive your SP. As for reinstalling from
the internet site, I already have done that quite early in the piece but
it made not the slightest difference.I also installed it into a second
computer and that behaved in exactly the same way, which cleared my
computer of blame. I now have three installations on the HDD on this
computer under different names - no difference.

The situation now is that most bulletins come down normally with full text
but a few have no text, only heeaders and addresses. There does not seem
to be any set pattern about the behaviour. The only thing I am sure of is
that before I went to telnet there was no problem; I have used Winpack
without any trouble for at least 12 years. It was easy enough till now!!

Nobody has come up with an explanation and a correct diagnosis of what the
problem is. Several operators have collaborated in trying to find the
cause but three or four have been very rude and called my sanity into
question. Nice amateur spirit!!

Incidentally the bulletins that have no text come up on the screen
already downloaded and readable before I connect.
I have now put it into the too hard basket.
Thanks again,
Bob VK6BE.
PS: Pourquoi le francais et le chinois??

VK6BE Bob. Clearly you never recd my SP. Uninstall WinPack entirely and
install from the web... it should then work for you. Memo Roger said he
was not going to make things easy:)
Best wishes/Meilleurs sentiments/73,
de Rodge
