>Hello to all,
>
>I hope everyone reading along has a great festive season,
>and that 2008 is full of good health and happiness for you.

Hello Shirley, and everyone in the YL@WW thread...reading
along..some joining in..others..well....thats your choice.

Been a good month Shirley...but I shall leave the details
to the December Report ....

>SARA I do hope the rain and snow go away for at least a few
>days. It is your winter though, and our weather conditions
>are not much better and it is the middle of our summer,
>we have been threatened with snow in the areas that usually
>get it, and that hasn't happened yet to my knowledge, but
>today it is cold enough to be wind off snow, there is
>plenty of rain at the moment which will be good if we get a
>break and then more.

Sounds like what I hear from family in South America....

>PETER nice to see you and Maria are still with us.
>I wonder if you still plan to sell and move?

Yes Shirl ... still in the works, and with the sad day
the RV < caravan > was sold...well we knew we were closer
to our plans so we did have something to smile about.

>SNOW QUESTION the people that live with snow as part of their
>life. Do you look forward to the arrival of the snow?

Easy answer ... NO. Not anymore..that love of snow
ended in 1986.

>Do you wish for a snow free sunny Christmas?

I was spoiled by my first ever Christmas in southern clims
and NO snow, and no worrys about family and friends driving
over by car ... nothing like the pool on new years.

>How much of the year do you get snow?

Snow comes to our area usually end of November...a lite dusting
and thats it..then the big stuff just before Christmas..but
then in the few passed years, it hasn't so something is wrong.

Snow leaves us...in April...but I have seen it still in May
but mixed ...but as they say by the time May kicks in
April showers bring May flowers... SO in May no snow, but
also middle of April. I usually on the average say ttfn
to snow here in middle March..into April.

>Anything else that you can add please do so, it is interesting
>to learn about other peoples world.

I think what puts me off the SNOW period, is the idiots we have
here driving. Snowmobiles speeding down the street and sidewalks
and people having to put up with these holigans. Too many
highway accidents, and just being snowed in or dieing in the
car....or hearing of seniors homes going on fire, due to the
crazyist of reasons.... Just not a season that has me as
a fan...and I guess because as a kid I loved skating, and
hockey...Can not play now..<Medical orders... :( > and it
seems time has taken it's toll on my skating ability so
I guess in case of a fall...skating is out too!
SO nothing left to do with winter...but worry about heat
the woodpile and the furnace and the high cost of oil.
NO...I can and will be moving to southern areas...ASP.

>Australia expects very hot sunny weather and plan Christmas
>day picnics and trips to the beach, and most toys delivered
>by Santa relate to that sort of weather.
>Tell us your thoughts and feelings about snow.

Aaaah ...that is so nice reading !!!

>Well almost lunch time so best wishes to all and may your
>Christmas be just as you like it to be.
