Typed by Michael ZL1ABS
Recipe from my mother's handwritten cookbook.
[Beverly Sheffield]
Ingredients
1 Cup plain Flour
1/2 Cup white Sugar
3 oz (75g) butter
2 Teaspoons cinnamon powder (optional for cinnamon flavour)
3 Apples
Instructions
Put Flour and sugar in a bowl. Mix well (use large spoon).
Grate the cold butter into the bowl. Knead together with fingers.
Grease baking tin or Pyrex pie dish (or line with parchment paper) and put
diced apple pieces (peel & core the apples first) in the bottom with 1/2
cup of water
(sprinkle cinnamon powder as desired), then pour mixture in.
Bake for 30 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius or 380 degrees Fahrenheit.
Serve with yoghurt or ice cream.
