Hello to everyone! That should have read More Weather News!
Happy to see youare back again Shirl. Great that you could find an
alternative path. Will look up Penguin on the map as soon as I have time.
I have been off packet for nearly a week as Bob disconnected my packet
computer to try to get another one working so needed my monitor and
connections, etc. I got connected again to the BBS yesterday and was
pleased to find 6 bulletins but got disconnected after reading the first
one. All is working properly today however and I was happy to ready your
November report, Peter.
Our weather has been busy. A week ago Saturday it stated to snow but by
Sundady morning it was pouring rain - our 3rd storm of the season. We
had over 6 inches in the Olympia area but many other places had more and
the area south of here was really hard hit with flooding. The Interstate
that connects Mexico to Canada was in the path and a section was 10 feet
under water so 20 miles were closed for several days - especially
disasterous to the trucking that moves up and down the coast. Many
people had to be evacuated, their homes and yards covered with mud. Hard
on the farmers who grow produce.
The rain finally quit and it cooled off. Yesterday was a beautiful sunny
day and we were expecting another one - but instead we had snow. About
an inch. Bob is out shoveling it off the porch and walk as it is
supposed to freeze tonight. It was a surprise to the weather bureau. So
much for forecasting.
Got to go. Want to get our daily walk in before it get's dark.
