For coffee (well I, as I'm the only one who likes it) use a modern electric
thingummy for breakfast and dinner. Filter ground beans put into a filter
basket, then boiling water perculates up from a tank, filling a glass jug sat
on a heated plate. Cream and brown sugar to finish it off. I quite enjoy the
last dregs in the cup, with the few coffee grounds which escape the filter.

The coffee ready ground and brought back from France, on one of SWMBO's
regular shopping trips.

Between times I drink ordinary out of the jar coffee, preferably made with
100% milk.

I've swapped back and fourth a few times between tea and coffee. My parents
used to use leaves, but back then I would not drink it - in part because of
the leaves. When tea bags came out, I started to enjoy it a little more, but
never, ever 'mashed' in the cup. It just doesn't taste right made that way -
always made in a teapot (Tetley's), stainless steel or pot makes no
difference, but left to 'mash' for a few minutes with lid closed and then
given a quick stir before pouring. Milk and white sugar.

Tea is the only thing which goes well with fish and chips.
